It's the tiniest of Solo Range's fire pit variety which makes it almost portable enough to carry to the beach from your cars and truck. So if any food falls in - like sauce or hamburger juices - it can be a discomfort to clean it out. It also does not have prongs over it like the smaller Solo Stoves do, so. Even then, I 'd only recommend cooking in pots or pans, not directly over the flame (once again, to avoid any hard-to-clean foods falling in).
